According to doctors, 1 day after surgery, Son has been doing rehabilitation exercises with a machine and in bed. He can also move around with crutches. “Fortunately, before the surgery, the consultations and quick preparations helped Son to have surgery within the golden hour, within 24 hours of the injury. If the intervention is delayed, the swelling due to the injury will increase, the skin on the leg will blister, and after surgery, it will heal poorly and be poorly nourished. Surgery within the first 24 hours when the swelling is not much, so the bone can be fixed easily. If everything goes well, Nguyen Xuan Son can return to competition in about 9 months,” Professor Dung shared.
